hey dear,

Venus is the hottest planet even though Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun. The reason that Venus is hotter than Mercury is that it has an atmosphere made of carbon dioxide; it also has clouds of acid inside its atmosphere. This is called greenhouse effect. Mercury, along with many of the other planets, has none of these features. Another feature of Venus is that all sides are always hot. It is full of active volcanoes and rivers of lava. In contrast, the side of Mercury that faces away from the Sun is usually 100 degrees or more below zero.

hope it helps u

Here is your answer...
Venus is called the hottest planet because it has a layer of carbon dioxide around it.
this carbon dioxide layer absorbs all the heat and makes the temperature of Venus very high.
this is why Venus is the hottest planet.
