Why virus are considered to be non living

they are not only considered only non living but living too .......
And yes your answer is that the virus depends on the host but lives outside and only reproduces in the host cell it will live normally if it is not present in the host cell but not reproduce

Most biologists say no. Viruses are not made out of cells, they can't keep themselves in a stable state, they don't grow, and they can't make their own energy. Even though they definitely replicate and adapt to their environment, viruses are more like androids than real living organisms.
