Dogganal Mahadevappa Nanjundappa(D. M. Nanjundappa) (died 2005) was a noted economist fromKarnatakaand a professorof economics atKarnataka University,Dharwar. He served as the Vice-chancellorof theBangalore Universityfrom 1987 and theKarnataka University. Professor Nanjundappa was deputy chair of theKarnataka State Planning Board. He was well known for his “Report of the High Power Committee for Redressal of Regional Imbalances in Karnataka"He died on Monday, September 26, 2005 atBangaloreand was buried with State honours at his native place Dogganal, inHolalkereTaluk ofChitradurgaDistrict.
