According to Gandhi's lawyer friend, stay of Andrews of Champaran was thought of to be a good idea as Andrews, being Englishman would prove to be helpful to them
However Gandhi opposed to this idea because
1.According to him, think of having an Englishman on one's side just because it would be helpful only show the weakness in their heart
2.One most be self reliant and hence rely only upon themselves to win a battle.
