Their is no fixed position of hydrogen atom in mendeelevs periodic table is due to the, following reasons,
Hydrogen resembles both alkali metal as well as Halogen. It is because the hydrogen atom contains only one electron in their outermost orbit. So, according to the modern periodic table the hydrogen atom placed in the group of Halogen family. But he can see that the hydrogen atom doesn't possess the properties like Halogen.
Hence, hydrogen atom does not given a fixed position in mendeelevs periodic table.
