Why was Kezia Afraid of her father?​

Kezia thought that her father look like a joint with her big hands ,neck and large mouth he spoke very loudly and often rebuked and beat her so she was afraid of her father.

Kezia was initially afraid of her father. She considered her father a giant. Her father also did not show any fatherly feelings towards her. He used to give her a casual kiss while leaving for work. His strict disciplinary rules made Kezia frightened. The incident where Kezia mistakenly tore some important papers, her father gave the little girl a very harsh punishment by hitting on her palms. The incident horrified Kezia as she then used to hide her hands at her back when her father came near her.

However, Kezia got rid of this fear from her father when she realised her father cared for her. When she had a nightmare and her Grandma was not near her, her father consoled her. This made her realise that her father had to do a lot of work which made him tired. His anger was eventually a result of this tiredness. So, at the close of the story Kezia got rid of her fear.
