Khalsa policy: Lord Dalhousie implemented 'Doctrine of Lapse' to annex the states under his control.

Dalhousie also rejected the appeal to recognize the titles of many ex-rulers and refused to pay their pensions.

Reason:

  • The ruler was blamed for the lack of administration
  • The huge amount of profit due to the annexation of the states.

Lord Dalhousie successfully his annexation policy named Doctrine of Lapse.  Most of the states are annexed by simply applying the doctrine.

When it comes to Dalhousie, it rejected an appeal for recognizing some titles of various ex-rulers as well as refused for playing the pensions.

The claim which the rules are not ruling correctly and company added up to 4 million pounds actually sterling the annual profit by virtue of doctrine.
