King Tut's mummy was taken out of his tomb many times.
First of all Howard Carter, a British archaeologist who discovered Tut's tomb after a long search in 1920. His men removed the mummy’s head and severed nearly every major joint. Once they had finished, they reassembled the remains on a layer of sand in a wooden box with padding that concealed the damage, the bed where Tut now rests. Carter's research and search operation badly damaged the mummy forever!
Then a professor took his body to X-Ray it.
Finally, Zahi Hawas's team took it out to scan it.
