lord ullin's daughter was afraid of him because he did not  accept the love of his daughter and the chieftain. but they both immensely loved each other as a result they had no other choice but to elope. also lord ullins daughter very well knew that her father was to kill the chieftain and she don't want to see her lover killed and she cannot even live without him. so keeping these things in mind lord ullins daughter was scared and she didn't wanted to see her father back again. but at the end she could see her father sobbing for her and she understood the change in his father and stretched her hand towards her father and caught chieftain with the other hand too to save him as well.
