Maharana pratap was defeated at the battle of haldi ghati as the Mughal army had 80,000 soldiers with guns and artillery but he had only 22,000 soldiers with no guns or artillery. In the first wave pratap lost many of his men and when the Mughals started to lose ,their reinforcements came in. In the second wave he lost 15,000 men in total. He tried to kill their leader commander man singh but he failed to do as the mughal commanders elephant tilted and pratap's spear hit man singh's driver. Later rana pratap was wounded and he and his family was escorted to a cave by some of pratap's men.
