Mangal Pandey was the general leader of the 1857's war. This war was the first Independence war in Bengal. Whole bengal suffered aa lot because of doctrine of lapse's rule. So they wanted wear against British that time.
Mangal Pandey protested against the new Enfield rifle which was made by animal's meat. So Mangal Pandey as a Hindu started rebellion against British, aand also he called many soldiers for joining. Among theme aa native soldier attacked on Mangal Pandey and imprisoned him by the British and British hanged him.
