The First Battle of Tarain took place in 1191 CE. The battle was fought between the Indian ruler Prithviraj Chauhan on one hand and Muhammad Ghori on the other hand. Prithviraj Chauhan was defeated by Muhammad Ghori in the First Battle of Tarain.
