Muhammad bin Tughlaq was not a skilled administrator. he was ambitious and introduced various policies. But the execution of the policies were weak. Hi cancelled his own policies because of wrong execution. He shifted his capital from Delhi to daulatabad due to frequent threats were mongols. This led to the extension of his Empire which later created problems for him to control the North-West frontier due to the distance gap. He reversed his order and again shifted his capital to Delhi. Similarly, he raised taxes at the time when monsoons failed.
