New industries were not accepted by Indians during the British era as these companies were setup by the Britishers and the profit they earned was given to the british government as loyalty.
Indians decided to boycott these new industries as well as the products manufactured by them. They believed in manufacturing goods on their own which was cheaper and also Britishers did not profit from it.
