The period of 1793 to 1794 is referred to as the period of reign of terror because of the harsh rule of Maximilian Robespierre. He had a thinking that it is right to execute the enemies of Republic such as the members of the first Two Estates, members of the opponent party and even he didn't even spare his own party's member who didn't agree with him.
