Private Quelch was permantly assigned for cookhouse duties because of his behaviour towards everyone.The time when corporal turnbull was giving them instructions he started intrupting him and asoed a lot of questions which irritated corporal and because of this corporal wanted to take a revenge and assigned him cookhouse duties.

Private Quelch was a boastful and pride man. He knew more than everyone and corrected them anytime he get a chance. During a grenade class Corporal Turnbull was teaching about grenades, Private Quelch interrupted the lecture and corrected Turnbull, Turnbull didn't like that and his face went red, he snapped the grenade to Quelch and told him to continue and he did it with no shame. Corporal didn't like his attitude at all just like all others did not, and so he decided to assign private Quelch the cookhouse duties permanently.
