Answer:

Ranga was not in a hurry to find a bride for himself because he didn't wanted to marry someone who would be an underage. As he was an educated an practical person, he didn't supported child marriage. For him marriage was an institution which should be done when both the bride and the groom are mature. His view of marriage was very different from the thoughts of the village in which he lived.

Ranga was not in a hurry to find a bride for himself because he wanted to settle down with his career and find a good match for himself.

EXPLANATION:

In the story Ranga’s Marriage, Ranga is a modern, educated young man. He does not believe in the old concepts of marriage prevailing in India. At that time marriage was an issue of great social importance. It had to abide by all religious regulations. Parents would fix the marriage. Brides were usually far younger than the grooms.

Ranga did not believe in this concept of marriage. For him marriage meant finding a good mate who would be more of an understanding friend and companion. For that the age of the bride should match with his and so should her qualifications. So he wasn’t in a hurry to find a bride.
