Razia Sultana was the daughter of Iltutmish who sat on the throne of Delhi in 1236CE.
Razia Sultana was the first and the last woman ruler of Delhi Sultanate.She faced many problems from the Turkish nobles and military leaders;as they didn't accept her as a ruler.She was a woman in a 'man's world'.The refusal of the nobles to accept a woman as their ruler finally led to her downfall. Finally she was succeeded by her younger brother Nasiruddin.
