Story telling to Jo had become quite fatiguing for Jack because Jo never fell asleep in naps any more; she had grown young and didn't fall asleep. Earlier when she was two or three years old, she would fall asleep listening to the story.
However, now she had grown younger; now she asked more questions. This annoyed Jack and made him feel tired.

The storytelling sessions started when Jo was two, now she had turned four but the sessions were still going on which was fatiguing for Jack.
- Jack used to tell his four-year old daughter Jo, whatever stories used to come in his mind on Saturday evenings for a nap.
- Jo had grown up and she never fell asleep in her naps. Her brother, who was two years used to sleep, but she refused to take a nap as a baby.
- Instead she used to question Jack a lot. Thus, the tradition on Saturdays seemed pointless to Jack. It particularly seemed, fatiguing and wearisome.
