The author's wife felt extremely happy towards the end because Bruno was back. She felt depressed when Bruno was sent to the zoo in Mysore. Neither she nor Bruno were happy without each other. She missed Bruno because he was more than a son to her. When finally she convinced her husband to bring back Bruno she was very happy .
