Why was the capital shifted from anhilwad Patna of ahmedabad

Answer: The last emperor of the Vaghela dynasty, Karandev Vaghela, was defeated by Alauddin Khilji and it brought to the end of Rajput rule over Anhilwad Patna. Later on for a period of time Ankhilwad Patna remained the capital of Gujarat just for a namesake.
