The Glorious Revolution is also called the Bloodless Revolution because King William and Queen Mary came to power via politics, not war/bloodshed. They came to power through the a rise in Protestant support and the Declaration of Right

Due to the relative ease with which William and Mary came to take the power away from James II, it also known as the Bloodless Revolution; though there were a few battles fought at one point or another between 1688 and 1690 in Ireland and Scotland as well as several anti-Catholic riots that damaged parts of England.
