Why was the feeling of alienation seen among the Sri Lankan Tamils?

Because they felt that none of the major political parties which run by the buddisht Sinhala leaders was concern to their language and culture. they felt that the constitution and government policies denied them equal political rights,discriminated against them in getting jobs and opportunities and ignored their interests.as their demands were repeatedly denied by government thn by 1980 they started demanding an independent Tamil Eelam i.e state in northern and eastern part of SriLanka
