The guillotine continued to be used long after the Revolution and remained France's standard method of judicial execution until the abolition of capital punishment in 1981. The last person guillotined in France was Hamida Djandoubi, on 10 September 1977.

Gulliotining was a punishment given to the people in the during the nineteenth and 20th century.The instrument consisted of a blade and a pole.The person's head will be sepperated using the blade.If they wre found guilty then they will be guilliontined.Guilliotine is a device with which a person is beheaded.It was named after Dr Guillotin who invented it.
