Weimar republic was a harsh and humiliating peace.It was a democratic government and was based on universal votes.It mainly didn't have the support of the people because Germany lost it's overseas colonies,territory and had to pay the war reparations of world war I

This was because of proportional representation. Due to this laws were not able to pass easily.
