Why water can't extinguish fire caused by petrol and oil

Because water can be poured over the burning material to lower its temperature below its ignition temperature. The carbon dioxide extinguisher can be used for this.

we cannot use water to extinguish the fire caused by petrol,diesel and kerosene because oil,water,kerosene they are immiscible liquids and lighter than water

hence,fire will not be extinguished we can use fire extinguisher and sand
