So, water exists as a liquid at room temperature with a high boiling point. Sulphur is less electronegative than oxygen, and the S-H bond is much less polar than the O-H bond. Hence, there is no hydrogen bonding in hydrogen sulphide, and it normally exists as a gas with discrete H2Smolecules.

H2O is a liquid because it has strong intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
These bonds keep the molecular close and thus it is a liquid. These bonds occur between O of one molecule and H of another molecule.
H2S is a gas because it doesn't have these hydrogen bonds and thus, the molecules are far from each other.
