why water kept in earthern pot remain cool?

kanikadhobal: earthen pot has small holes in it,water seeps in these pores and evaporates thus evaporation causes cooling

it is because the earthern pot have small holes in them so that hot water evaporates and water left is cool

earthen pots absorb the heat realesed by water keeping it cool.
