why we are placing only north and south to magnet why not east and west

BECAUSE THE POLES HAVE MAGNETIC FORCE . BUT THE DIRECTIONS EAST AND WEST DO NOT HAVE ANY MAGNETIC FORCE WHICH CAN ATTRACT MAGNET AND HENCE, NOT INDICATED ON MAGNET.
