Virus, unlike bacteria are dead until the enter the human body, when they transform and do damage. Because if this sugar actor stick of a virus, it makes it difficult to kill them, as it is very easy for it to hide and play dead. This is why it is easy to make antibiotics to kill bacteria, as bacteria do not show such behaviour, and do not change and replicate them selves, but the same cannot be done in the case of a virus, hence we cannot make antivirus medications as of right now
