yes,two magnetic poles can be separated .As you can see the north poles face north & south poles face south in each part of the magnet. If there are such things as monopoles, then it is possible to separate unit magnet in monopoles.

The geometric shapes of the magnetic flux line produced by moving charge carries are similar in electrostatic field.
