Why we could not write with chalk if there were no frictions?

Answer:When there is no friction between chalk and black board. We couldn't able to write.. We are able to write on the board because the particles of the chalk gets stuck in the irregularities of the Surface of blackboard.when there is no friction it is not possible.

we could not write with chalk because only when the chalk rubs against the rough surface will the chalk particles deposit on the board
if there was no friction then writing on blackboard would have been like writing on glass (nothing would be visible as the surface of the glass is smooth)
