1) During winter, our body temperature is higher than the surrounding temperature. So heat flows from out body to the surrounding resulting in lowering the body temperature. Thus we feel cold during winter.
2) The perception of cold begins when nerves in the skin send impulses to the brain about skin temperature. These impulses respond not only to the temperature of the skin, but also to the rate of change in skin temperature.
