Body temperature has direct connection with the metabolic activities going on in the body.
Eggs, chicken or other high protien diet forces the digestive system to work very hard to break it down into for digestion. This increases the metabolic activities within subsequently affecting the body's temperature. This is also a reason for people living in cold regions tend to eat more meat/eggs and consume more alcohol.
It is my understanding that because the digestive system of humans cannot be classified into herbivore or carnivore, the food tends to have definite effect on many of the bodily parameters.
But, when the body temperature increases due to food, other metabolic activities try to realign it in a short time. Like, eating hot chillies starts sweating in the person.
Having cool products, with lots of water in it, helps abate this heat.
