The bones are present in complex multicellular organisms to :-
• Support the organs within the body so they can function well.
• Allow the organism to move easily from one place to another to catch prey or for survival.
• For the easy folding and movement of muscles and also to provide a support structure for muscles to stick upon.
• For protecting the delicate inner organs such as brain, nerves. etc.
