why we have to define democracy?

Basically our country need democracy for the proper functioning of the government.Because democracy itself says that it is a system of government in which the citizens exercise power directly or elect representatives from among themselves to form a governing body, such as a parliament.

At first we will see definition of democracy..
Democracy:- A form of govt. in which every person is eligible to choose their representative..
Now , why do we need democracy...
We need democracy for proper functioning of our govt.
Every one should have right to vote and can choose their representative....
This makes our country better than other that's why we need this..
