HEYA!!
HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

——————————————————————————————————————————

INVERTER:Inverter is used to convert direct current into alternating current.

You can't use straight direct current without the AC to DC inverter because the device's power supply needs the AC power in order to properly step down and regulate the voltage.

CONVERTER: A power converter is an electrical or electro-mechanical device for converting electricalenergy. It may be converting AC to or from DC, or the voltage or frequency, or some combination of these.

If your device doesn't support dual voltages, you'll need a converter.
