Explanation: sour substances, are also known as acids. They are weak, but still corrosive. Although aluminium do get protected against oxidisation due to its oxide layer, that layer can be easily penetrated by even dilute acids, especially if you are marinating or brining the substance in the container for prolonged periods of time. This will cause aluminium compounds to enter your food. I am not sure about the concerns on aluminium food poisoning, but I'm pretty sure we all don't want a weird metallic taste hanging in our beautifully cooked beef stew :P
