Why we study continuety and diffrentiation. I mean whatnis the use in practical life?

I believe the whole concept of calculus is very helpful in solving physics and chemistry questions although it's taught in math. For example, kinematics, work energy and power, etc uses calculus to analyze situations in real life and determine what could happen and why. So, it isnt directly useful in daily life but it helps understand science better I guess.
