Why we take a lot of time to write an article writing

I always envy writers who say it takes them just an hour or two to compose a great post. I know that I take much longer, and sometimes need to sleep on it before finalizing the text! And that's just for a post that would now be considered pretty brief. These new, extra-long posts of 1500+ words or more are epic.

So, I'm curious. How long does it take you to write something you consider in-depth? What's your writing process like?
