Why we warm the milk slightly to make curd in winter

Milk is warmed a bit before making curd in winters because the micro-organism ( bacteria- lactobacillus) cannot thrive and sustain itself under temperatures below 37 degree centigrade. To multiply and reproduce further, it needs a warmer condition so we warm the milk.
