why weight of the body decreases when it is taken to higher altitude from earths surface

The weight of the body decrease at higher altitude as the gravity (g) decrease.

Weight=mg.

The weight of body is decreases because the object going away from the gravity . So, the gravitational force is very less on the higher altitude and the weight of object is feel lightly
