why were Indian Muslims concerned about Turkey?​

The Ottoman Empire was headed by the Caliph or Khalifa who was the spiritual head of Muslims. After the world war I, a harsh peace treaty was going to be imposed on the Khalifa. Thus Indian Muslims were worried for Turkey.
