In 1870's and 1880's people realize the policies of Britisher's against Indians.So the Indians started boycott and Swadeshi moment against British rule.

People were dissatisfied with British rule due to following reasons-

In 1878 British govt. passed arms act . according to this act no Indian could have right to keep weapons without license

1878 vernacular act was passed  according to this act newspaper  could not print anything against British government.

The Ilbert bill was passed in 1883 according to this BILL political equality were created and now European and Britishers could be tried by Indian judges.
