The north-east tribes reacted violently on the Britishers as they imposed heavy taxes on their houses. The poor tribal were not in a position to pay, hence revolted. But, the British were successful in suppressing the tribal uprisings easily because, they were well armed and the tribal had traditional bow and arrow.
