the king of france found an empty treasury... so, he decided to increase the taxes of food. 2 and 1 estate didnt pay their taxes. the 3 estate which encluded farmer and peasants had to pay the taxes of the 2 estate ,1 estate and their own taxes... the price of bread which was their staple food increased so much that people could not afford to buy it. thus the 3 estate got furious and revolted. they protested and since they were more in majority... they beheaded the king and the queen and imprisoned their children.
