This happened with me back in 2015, when I was visiting my friends in Delhi.
I was with him, traveling around Delhi on the Metro to check the sights and sounds of the city. I had never visited the city before but as the historic capital of India, there was much to see from the Jamia Mosque to the Qutub Minar. That fateful day, we got into the Metro just near his house, and for the next 15 mins the ride was smooth and we were having fun.
However, as we went into a tunnel, suddenly the tunnel lights went out and everything became pitch black. We were scared and the general public started to Panic.
Before I could ask people to relax for some time, there was a lot of shoving and we could hear screams of children and women throughout the whole of the metro train.
It was very scary, we don't know what had happened.
Suddenly an old man near me, opened his Phone flash to see what was going on. As far as we could see, there was just panic, but nothing else had been going on, nothing different. No damage to the train. The driver did not announce anything on the speaker till then.
Suddenly, the lights switched on again and a voice of the driver came, telling everyone there was a slight problem with the electrics and that we should not worry and everything is ok now.
We were relived and for the rest of the day, we enjoyed a lot!
