Tribes from central asia able to establish empires in india during the early mediaeval period

Explanation:

  • For over five hundred years after the collapse of the Mauryan Empire, no major force governed most of India. In reality, India experienced a relative rapid settlement of different regional kingdoms, between 200 and 300 BCE. Many were found in northern India on the Ganges River and others first came up in southern India.
  • The Maurya dynasty started to decline with Ashoka 's death. Centralized treasury bankruptcy stopped when troops and government officials earned expensive pensions. Local leaders, instead of an expanding empire, took over smaller regions and strategically took on important business routes. The future kings of the Gupta dynasty / empire were a couple of decades later. A lot of the land of Maurya was defeated, and alliances were forged with kingdoms who wouldn't war.
  • After the Gupta empire and over the next seven centuries the pattern of fragmentation intensified as disparate regional kingdoms, large and small, mostly emerged. For the political situation that was uncertain and dynamic, mediaeval rulers had given land to the loyal subordinates and high officials of their courts. Through battling and constructing majestic Hindu temples, Kings showed their grandeur in their capital cities.
  • At the end of the fifth century CE, the empire of Gupta ended with the arrival of the white Huns, the Central Asian nomadic tribe. Prior to the 16th century, there was no unifying empire; India was governed by provincial political kingdoms
