The reason for employing children and women during the industrial revolution are many, here are some reasons:-
- During the first century, industries were spreading with a great frequency. This increased the need for more labourers over less time. Which forced women and children into industries.
- Children and women were committed employees. This category of labour didn't need ample wages and was ready to work at low wages. They didn't use to argue much, maybe because of their restrictions and innocence.
- To make more money at home, children and women were employed to fill the basic needs of the families.
