Why when the stopper of a bottle full of hydrogen chloride gas is opened there are fumes in the air ?

Hydrogen chloride gas
is a acidic in nature when it react with air or some vapours it would form white fumes that were present in front of a bottle

Hydrogen Chloride is a gas at room temperature. It can be seen as liquid in bottles. When a bottle full of it is opened, fumes are observed. This is because the gas evaporates on coming in contact with air and white fumes are formed due to reaction with water present as humidity in atmosphere.
